Dawkins isn’t on twitter then. How depressing. His team have gone into overdrive (I seriously doubt he scanning tweets and blogs himself) and posted a comment to my previous post about how popular his account had been. I guess this is what happens when you move into the world or arguing reason against religion, you leave yourself wide open to the cranks.

Perhaps one reason it’s depressing is that, being a conversation, Twitter is more personal? On the other hand this and the facebook imposters would show there is an interest in this kind of communication.

What a shame that RL Dawkins isn’t on Twitter – join the conversation and this won’t happen!

I agree that the shame is that he isn’t doing this himself, he is missing a massive medium of communication.

Of course there is always the issue of who is who isn’t there?
Do we know that the chap declaring that he’s not on Twitter is RLD (any more than we “know” that the blokey on Twitter is an impostor)?
